The Walking Dead begins filming Season 10

The Walking Dead Season 10 starts filming TODAY!

I know so many of us are still on a high from the back end of Season 9. And, we will also have Fear the Walking Dead to tide us over until October. Just knowing that they are starting the filming has me all excited!!

Questions we all have....how long will Danai Gurira (Michonne) be in this season since we have heard she will be leaving. Will Lauren Cohan be back as Maggie? Will the Hilltop have their leader again?  Will we get a Carol/Alpha showdown? Are Daryl & Dog still searching for Rick?  What hell will the Whisperers reign this season?

Rumor has it that Andy Lincoln will be directing during Season 10!! “I’m going back,” Lincoln toldEntertainment Weekly “I’m going back to shadow a director, and my intention is to direct next year.”  He would join the ranks of Michael Cudlitz, who made his return to “Walking Dead” last season to directed 9.07, “Stradivarius”.

TWD is more than just a 'show'. The fandom has exploded into a creature of it's own. The TWDFamily is larger than anyone could imagine. 

As a franchise, AMC boss Josh Sapan said that The Walking Dead is "early in its life cycle", adding that this past year has seen an increase in advertising revenue (via HollyWood Reporter).

"Nine years in, we believe we are just beginning to tap its full economic potential and we're extending the franchise as any media company would," he told analysts.

"We have a broad spectrum of rights... We have a path to get to essentially every place that we'd like to get, with the necessary agreements in some circumstances."

Sapan also credited the original series as it "hit a new stride" for season 9 with Angela Kang as showrunner, despite losing its leading star in Lincoln.  (via DigitalSpy )
