Halloween Kills trailer and Michael is back

Fans of Michael Myers have been non-patiently waiting for any news on the latest installment of the franchise. Halloween Kills release date was postponed last year due to the pandemic. Now fans can rejoice in the wonder of the official trailer.

I don't know about you, but I think this trailer is fantastic, better than I could have imagined. We see the unintentional rescue of a serial killer who then proceeds to slash his way through the whole fire department and beyond.

Jamie Lee Curtis is back as Laurie and recovering from her last encounter with Michael. We see a grown-up Tommy Doyle, played by 80s brat pack member Anthony Michael Hall and Kyle Richards portrays Lindsey Wallace. Tommy and Lindsey, you will remember, are the children who Laurie babysat in the original film. Judy Greer will once again play Laurie's daughter, Karen Nelson and Andi Matichak reprises her role as Allyson, Laurie's granddaughter.

There are many other familiar names in this film. Robert Longstreet as Lonnie Elam, who bullied Tommy when they were boys and his Allyson's boyfriend Cameron's (Dylan Arnold) dad. Marion Chambers, who was an assistant to Dr. Sam Loomis, will be played by Nancy Stephens. Will Patton will play Deputy Frank Hawkins, the original deputy that arrested Michael in 1978. Leigh Brackett, former sheriff of Haddonfield, will be played by Charles Cyphers.

And, the best for last, Michael, will be played by James Jude Courtney and the OG Nick Castle.

I thought the remix of the theme song was a great touch even though the original will always be the best.

Did you catch the nod to Halloween III: Season of the Witch? Three of Michael's victims wear Silver Shamrock Novelties' masks, the skull, the pumpkin, and the witch. This is interesting as Halloween III is the only film in the franchise NOT to feature Michael Myers.

Halloween Kills will be in theaters on October 15, and Halloween Ends will premiere on October 14, 2022.
