Interview with Amber Dawn Fox

Amber Dawn Fox was gracious enough to answer a few questions for her fans. She is known to the TWDFamily as one of Dawn's officers at Grady Memorial, Officer Bello. But, Amber is currently VERY busy with new projects. If you check out her IMDB page you can see all of the post/pre-production work she is involved in. You will also she has been busy before and after TWD. Amber is so awesome always interacting with her fans via social media and keeping us updated with all her her projects. We are so excited that she will be joining us in Senoia Georgia for the Camp Marimac Charity Bash this Memorial Day weekend.

You are currently very busy. What can you share about some upcoming films/series we can see you in?

I have 2 feature films being released later this year, no specific dates yet on either one. However, you can keep an eye on my social media for updates. One is called “Beasts of the Field” and it is a thriller mostly set outdoors in the woods. I play the lead character named Clarissa. The second is a comedy called “Raleigh, I Kinda Like You”. It was a fun Rom Com we did here in North Carolina. I play a lead character named Jasmin in one of the vignettes of the film.

You will be attending Camp Marimac Charity Bash Memorial Day weekend in Senoia. What are you looking forward to most about this event!?

Yes, I am extremely excited about this event. Not only have I enjoyed meeting and chatting with fans for the past 4 years, but this event will be my first time back in Senoia since I did my wardrobe fitting for Officer Bello. I have not had a chance to visit Nic & Norman’s, The Woodbury Shoppe, or The Waking Dead Cafe yet and am looking forward to that as well. This event is like a giant TWD Family reunion so it should be a blast.

What role, if any, deeply affected you personally, perhaps even changed you in a permanent manner?

I think every role does in a way. However, being a part of the Walking Dead (even though it was a small role) has changed my life completely. It has not only increases my social media presence; but, it has also allowed me to travel around the US and Canada doing events like Camp Marimac. I will forever be grateful for what it has done for me.

What has been your most challenging role?

Beasts of the Field was a challenging role to dig into. I can’t say too much about it right now since it hasn’t been released. All I will say is that is a role I had to take myself further than I had before. Although, I have been cast in another feature film (not yet announced) that may top even that!

A lot of us know you as Officer Bello in The Walking Dead. Would you ever consider going back to this role in one of TWD spin offs we keep hearing about?

I would do that in a heartbeat! I would love to go back and expand on the character of Officer Bello. Especially since we essentially know nothing about her aside from her being one of Dawn’s people. I’d love to develop how she got there or what she did after Rick’s group left.

What was the best thing about being in TWD?

The fans are the best! Not only did they start following me because of my time on the show; but, they are so supportive of everything I am doing now. They support and share news and my new projects. I would not be as far as I am today without them.

Who or what inspired you to take on acting?

Initially I got into the industry by accident. I found a random ad that they were looking for background extras for One Tree Hill, which was filmed a couple of hours from where I live. I thought it would be fun, so I responded and got picked to work on the show several times. I kept doing extra work as a hobby until I realized how much I wanted to do it as a career. I worked my way up to doing speaking roles, like I am doing now. I gain inspiration from every actor I am blessed to work with. I watch and learn from everyone.

Anything else you would like to share?

Can’t wait to see you all at Camp Marimac!
